Note that this review is based on a one day experience. Normally I would have been singing the praises of Yip Hong’s restaurant but yesterday was quite a disappointment. I’m always raving about the fried rice from here and it’s a favourite. When they moved from 8th street, I could not wait for them to open their new location as I had been craving this lovely fried rice. Yesterday, after an exhausting and long day, I was famished. I called and ordered two orders of beef and and one chicken fried rice. When we finally made it home and sat to eat in, I couldn’t believe my taste buds. The rice had no taste, not even salt. What a waste of my money. A few people tried the rice shaking their heads. Needless to say, no one could eat the rice. I was sad, disappointed and still hungry. I thought about calling the restaurant but knowing how busy they usually are and given how late in the day it was, I thought it best to write a review and hope they see it. I don’t know what happened yesterday... different chef or busy day they they missed something when making the food, I really don’t know. I still long for that amazing rice I usually get from Yip Hong’s.

We heard from a friend that they were over-charged on their bill. We checked ours and sure enough they over-charged us by 5 dollars per person, and we ate with 9 people. Make sure you check your bill if you go here, or just eat at Asian Garden instead. Two stars because the food is pretty good

New location is much more comfortable and elegant. Food today was excellent and with a fairly good selection of dishes. Still my favourite dim sum location in Saskatoon.

Very large selection of delicious food. Fast service. Staff are polite and friendly. Reasonably priced and a great place for a quick lunch. I go there as often as I can and it’s always fantastic. I highly recommend it.

Really, really good food! Staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the state of the furnishings. Tables, chairs, dishes, etc have obviously been well used. Everything is very clean though, so I'm really just being picky at this point.
