If not for the food being excellent they would get 2 stars. The service left a lot to be desired. My 1st impression was being walked through a kitchen of unfriendly people. If the staff are not friendly, why bring people through it? They are busy cooking and don't want to be bothered. Next impression was being seated at a dirty table. Next, If you have been here then you know its about sharing food. You would not know that on your first visit, so you can imagine my surprise when someone set 3 pieces of chicken in front of me because the Server didn't bother to ask us if we had eaten there before, explaining how it worked, giving us the opportunity to order appropriately. Had we known we were sharing, my friend would have ordered something non-spicy because I cant eat spicy. The Server showed zero interest in our experience. Didn't stop by again until it was time to ask if we wanted dessert and drop the check. My last impression came when I used the ladies room on the way out. YUCK. Someone needs to talk to the staff about cleaning toilets and sinks.

It was my first time at this place and it was an interesting experience. Portion sizes are huge since they're meant to be shared. The food was really tasty. Chicken Alfredo was rich an the scallops were huge. Service was friendly. I personally didn't vibe with atmosphere. Having a table with a bust of the Pope's head on it isn't my thing, but it could be for others I guess. Doesn't detract from the great food and service though.

Nice atmosphere with American Italian flair. The food was plentiful and fair tasting. Portions were very large great for sharing and large group of people.

I don’t know where to start. The place is very dirty and had a smell inside that resembles the play area in a Chuck E Cheese. The plastic table cloth on the table was worn and faded. I lifted the tablecloth and looked underneath. It was so filthy I can’t even explain it in words. The food was not very good. We ordered Chicken Alfredo meal for 5 people. There was plenty of food but the pasta was over cooked and soggy. The sauce was too thick and tasted like left overs. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I like Buca to get my italian food fix. My wife keeps getting gift cards from her workplace for Buca. So we go about once a month. I personally like family style service, each dish you order is enough to feed 3-4 people. So for the two of us one dish is enough for us both, plus some leftober for a late night snack or lunch the next day. Their salads are all quite good. Their antipasto salad is one of our favorites. The pizza is top notch, especially for the price. We've always had top notch service here, and never had any problems. I may have had to remind one server of a request that slipped his/her mind once. I once asked a waiter there what kind of olives were being used in a salad and he brought a can of them from the kitchen to our table because he didn't know how to pronounce the name of them. Thats good service in my humble opinion.
