No stars for management, 5 stars for the worker bees, 4 stars for food Went 4/15/18 at 5:30pm and the manager was horrible to her staff! The customer flow was steady but not overwhelming. She was blatantly, (loudly) putting workers down in front of customers, yelling at them and every one of them was seen working hard. She was giving customers in line horrible attitude and was just rude. We all have bad days but no matter what, you cannot treat people like that. I felt bad for them, seriously. I hope she has a better day moving forward. The food was good but we won't go back to this location. We'll go back to the one on Ellsworth Loop where the entire staff (& management) are very courteous and always go out of their way to offer friendly suggestions.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I'd never been here before, but a friend suggested it for lunch. Was very impressed that they make to their own tortillas fresh, on site. Big plus because a tasty fresh tortilla makes everything taste better. Very fresh ingredients. If you're looking for spicy, look elsewhere. Even the "Spicy Green Chile Pork" is pretty mild. If you don't insist on heat, the food is quite good.

As always this location delivers on customer satisfaction and friendly service staff. They are always smiling and helpful and obviously the food is great. My one knock is they could add a bit more meat on the serving sizes. But we'll be back soon.

The food is awesome and that’s the only reason I don’t give it one star. The wait time here is ridiculous. I don’t know about the other reviews saying how quick it is. This cafe rio consistently has long lines. Be prepared to wait 30-60min in line. The workers have no sense of urgency, the line servers will joke with the cooks in the back while I’m standing there waiting to tell them what I want after already waiting forever in line. And there’s no manager or name badges on anyone to report a problem. And forget about ordering online. I’ve ordered online a few times and come in 10 minutes after my “promised time” and still have to wait 20 minutes for my food!!

Great food and very filling. If you like Costa Vida, Cafe Rio is a slightly fresher tasting version of the same thing. Unfortunately it's also busier and more expensive. The biggest complaint I have though, is that it's SO loud in there. They need to add more sound absorption surfaces because it's hard to end a meal without a headache as it is now.
