I have eaten at this place many times, extremely friendly staff and terrific food. There is a very homey feel to the restaurant, it’s not very big but it makes for amazing atmosphere. If you live German food, or have never had German food, I suggest starting here.

Food was in general good. I had the smoked pork chop. It tasted like ham. Not what I expected, and since I don't like ham flavor, I didn't enjoy as much. Others had the meatball, schnitzel and sauerbraten which could have been a bit more sour. It was liked, just a personal taste. Sides were sauerkraut, red cabbage, and German potato salad. All were good. Live music was found but a bit loud if you are expecting a quieter dinner. Service was friendly and quick.

WHERE IS THE 6th STAR?!?!? My wife is on a diet, and when she's done, she doesn't want Taco Bell, or pizza, or even sushi... She wants to go back to Zur Kate's! I'm with her on that point! Unbelievable food at great prices! I had the daily special of stuffed pork roast with red cabbage and spatzle. My date had the schnitzel. All were amazing! There was an accordion player who added to the German ambiance. The service was polite. We already started planning our next visit!

What a gem! We were looking for something different and came across this unique, nondescript restaurant. You would drive right by if you didn't know what you were looking for. But don't! The food was great! Live polka music. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend it.

We stopped Thursday night for supper, what a great place! We were greeted by a lovely fräulein and the sound of German music played by a gent and his accordion. We were seated promptly, ordered beer and wine and our food order was taken when the drinks arrived. They have daily specials, the menu is on their website. We ordered two specials (smoked sausage and sauerkraut, and munched on the freshest swirl rye bread & butter. The meals arrived in good time, was delicious and we barely had room for the homemade apple strudel! Two adults, meal and drinks = $39.26.
