Been to Dickey's several times since I moved to Mesa, and their food never fails to satisfy. Ribs are great, BBQ beans are great, pork is so moist and delish. I also had the sausages and brisket which were really good. I especially like the crust they get on the brisket. Their selection of three warm BBQ sauces compliment the meat but sometimes I prefer to eat the meat without sauce. I was there last night and tried the baked potato casserole and the brownie for the first time. Brownie great, BBC decent. Service there is friendly and fast, and they make it feel more like a small mom and pop rather than a franchise restaurant. If I have one complaint it would be whatever the stuff is that comes out of the soft serve machine. I don't know if it's supposed to be ice cream, but it has the consistency of a slush or sorbet (water based rather than dairy). It wasn't unpleasant tasting, but the texture and yellowish color was unexpected.

Want authentic smoked meats/BBQ but don't have the time, inclination, or smoker to do the work? This is your place. They offer a variety of smoked meats as the featured items, that are placed in various plates, sandwiches, and combinations to please the hungry palate. The brisket is my favorite, smoky but not over-smoked, tender, meaty, and just the right amount of juices and spices. The sweet and the spicy sauces make a good combination when mixed. Service is efficient and fast, but one star taken away because the last three times I have been, each more than an hour away from closing, they had run out of the requested protein items I wanted to bring home to my family; planning daily production to serve demand should be more of a priority for these guys. The side dishes I've tried are also worth leaving room for; even the creamed spinach is done well and has just the right amount of seasoning. They now have an ice cream machine as a desert bonus! I continue to visit these folks off and on for the high quality of food (usually to go), but only wish they wouldn't run out of selected items so often.

Clean. Fast friendly service. Good food. Reasonably priced. Can't ask for anything more.

Love the choices of meat. I'm currently following a keto diet so I love that I can choose what I want and not have to hrow anything away. (Except for the roll). It's a bit pricey but I've been here twice in 2 weeks and jts real good. So I imagine with all the BBQ sauce and sides it's even better! Their cheddar jalapeno sausage is real good. Along with this Coke zero. Plus you get free ice cream cones when you're done!! (Not me🤣🤣)

Even though the only meat they had to serve us was the brisket, we enjoyed our meal very much. The employees were friendly and very helpful. I really appreciate the fact they have a discount for military. Saved a little money but like the saying goes, every little bit helps.
