I’ve been here several times in the last couple of years. These reviews are pretty accurate: the food is really good and the dinner prices a little high (~$15 to $18 per person without drinks). I’m not surprised by some of these stories of overtly bad service. I’ve been fortunate but the service is usually somewhere between decent to passable. I enjoy the house special chicken. It’s fried and a bit crispy and the sauce is really good. It doesn’t have vegetables which I usually find too crunchy in Chinese food. I also like the lo mein. The noodles are not too thick/doughy. Definitely worth checking out.

I searched long and hard to find a quality Chinese restaurant in Phoenix, read the reviews written by others on here and was delighted to find Shangri-La was as good as they said. They have a variety of meat, seafood and vegetable dishes (including all the standard Chinese plates), and a great lunch special. Prices are a tad higher than normal, but I usually order a couple of dishes and save the rest for leftovers the next day. Service is great and the place is very clean and tidy (probably my biggest concern!). Another bonus is that the food is not made with any MSG's, if you're into that kind of thing. Been coming here for a few years now and will continue to enjoy it.

Love the house special chicken extra chicken. They really make you feel welcome at the door and are very generous. I would recommend this to anyone to at least give it a try.

This was my favorite Chinese joint. But ownership changed hands several years ago & while menu is same, the jump in prices is disappointing. They refuse to substitute vegetables (ex: no green pepper, add onion instead) & I agree with others, the customer service could use an attitude adjustment - they are often curt to the point of being rude. The taste of the food has changed only a little so I'm okay with the dishes offered. Just a bit disappointed with the prices & customer service (or lack thereof).

Best Chinese food I've ever eaten! Would highly recommend to anyone, even if they don't particularly like Chinese food! 10/10! The employees are as wonderful as the food too!
