Every bit the hole in the wall place the previous reviews have said it is, but the service was fast and the food was better than most and for a great price. I had the beef enchiladas and chicken soft tacos. Was very happy with both. I walked to Carolina's from the hotel area by the stadiums (about 2.1 miles) and feel like it was worth the walk. A good portion of this walk is through an industrial area, scrap yards and machine shops, so if that sort of thing puts you on edge, maybe catch a ride. The restaurant itself is in more of a neighborhood.

Let me start by saying this place does have GREAT tortillas. Love the tortillas. If you are having a party at home stop in here and order your tortillas by the dozen. In regards to their food I'm not as impressed. Menu items are hit and miss for me. Everything is decent (3* +) but not many great things in the menu. Love the tortillas though.

Delightfully rough around the edges and incredibly yummy; Carolina's has been a Phoenix institution for DECADES! MY personal favorite is the foot long chorizo & bean burrito. Other delicious food is the shredded beef tacos and red chili burritos. Try an extra large buttered tortilla with your meal, you wont regret it.

Excellent food and an unassuming location. It is close to airport and worth the stop before you head out of the area. The chicken flautas were excellent as were the tamales. The staff is friendly, quick, and efficient. Don't let the condition of the interior fool you. This is real food for the soul.

The food is very good. The building could use a make over. The employees were very nice and polite. Cost of items was decent.
