I ordered the veal Marsala. Too salty. It basically was small sliced pieces of maybe veal. Not 100% sure. Covered with some mushroom sauce and mushrooms that appeared to be from a can. Served with a tiny scoop of mashed potatoes and cooked veggies. The appetizer was OK. Escargot as well as the spinach salad. Service was OK as well. Not coming back. Sorry.

My nephew lives in Ahwatukee. When his dad visits we'll find a place to dine and catch up. We've been to this Cafe' twice and have had a wonderful time both times. The prices are moderate to high. They're specials help to not break the bank. Food is prepped and delivered in a timely fashion and has been delicious. For those that want a happy hour there is a bar that is roomy and a nice place to unwind after a long day. We've been blessed with great service and accommodating personnel both of our visits and yes I would recommend Va Bene to my closest friend because I know they'll be happy.

Food was excellant but bread was missing an ingredient. All of our party agreed. When I approached our waiter to notify him, he was very rude. He told me it was made daily and perhaps I wasn't used to fresh bread. Hardly came back to the table. Never came back to check on us. We got our bill before asking us if we wanted desert. Too bad. The good food was over shadowed by to poor service. Sort of ruined our choice for a nice birthday dinner. We won't be back. This is not the same restaurant it was several years ago when Sasha (owner) was there every day.

Love this place for Italian and steaks. We are regulars who eat lunch here at least weekly and often come for dinner. The food is consistently good, whether we are dining there as a family or hosting a large group. Va' Bene has a private dining room that can accommodate a crowd and the service has always been very good - even when we told them to expect a group of 30 and 47 showed up. Donna, the Owner, and Rick, the Manager are great to work with - one of them is always there and it shows in the way the restaurant is run. We have never taken anyone there who didn't rave about the food. I've got to give shout out to their Salmon Salad and their Cream of Mushroom Soup.

Food was AMAZING! Our server was awesome. I could move in and eat there everyday! There was live music (went on a Friday night) and the ambiance was perfect!
