A great place with amazing food. I went to this restaurant for my birthday celebration with my fiancé. The waitress was very helpful and nice! A good variety of wines with various price ranges was available so you can find something fit for your budget. It was a great experience in total.

I had brought my family for dinner at Yves on a Wednesday evening since it seemed like a cozy locale to enjoy a birthday dinner. Much to my disappointment the establishment is way past its prime. The service was grossly lacking. The decor was outdated. The owner was arrogant and unconcerned. Upon being seated by the window, we immediately noticed a busy ant trail along the ledge. We were moved much to the waiter's dismay but only after having to insist that we trade to table that was infested. We were served beverages initially, and they remained empty for the rest of our experience despite being overtly noticed by the wait staff. Further, we were served a basket of bread and butter approximately thirty minutes after being seated, and well after we placed our order for food. When my food finally arrived, I was underwhelmed. The purportedly "tender" prime beef with which the salad was topped suffered from a paucity of any seasoning, and was overcooked and dry. The grilled artichoke suffered from similar shortcomings. The artichoke was was undercooked and the aiole was missing. However, it did come with a few ants dancing on top. In keeping with the trend of inattentiveness, we were charged with the ant-laced artichoke. This placed my family in the awkward position of me having to explain to the server that the dish was removed from our table without replacing nor crediting for the dish. Yves was making his way around to the tables, and although he was informed of the mishaps he did not stop by to check in on us. It was while he was entertaining a group of ladies that I tried to address him personally but not before he quickly pulled me aside and inform me that an exterminator had made a visit that morning. I wasn't expecting an apology nor did he give one as he was unconcerned with offering any sort of resolution. Unfortunately, I cannot bring myself to recommend this establishment to anyone, and I will not return. It speaks volumes when the foremost thought during a dining experience is the sincere hope that Gordon Ramsay will appear and begin shouting obscenities at people.

Really outstanding food here. Have yet to be disappointed with anything. Nice, attentive service and a very pleasant place to dine on a warm evening.

While this will never be our “go to” restaurant in Yorba Linda, it is pleasant and lively with loyal patrons who clearly are devoted fans. Like that it’s not another chain restaurant! We enjoyed our dinner of gnocchi with asparagus / Parmesan herb butter sauce and snap peas, the spring salad with kumquats and orange segments, and an orange endive salad with chicken. Desserts looked and sounded yummy; will try the bread pudding and the choc soufflé on our next visit.

We had scheduled our son’s rehearsal dinner at this great little restaurant recently. Four days before our dinner they had a small kitchen fire that closed them for a while. We were stuck with no venue for 40 people! Yves, his wife and staff worked tirelessly to assist us in finding another place. We really wanted thier food as it is excellent. The result was thier entire staff came to our new venue (kudos to Highway 39 as well!) and cooked exactly the same menu we had planned! These fine people exhibited the true meaning of customer service. I would give them six stars if I could! GO THERE!
