This Applebee’s is usually a decent place to eat. Not stunning, nothing extra ordinary, not bad either, just decent and good. Unfortunately, our visit yesterday was just bad. I was very clear with the waitress with what I wanted to order, but she obviously wasn’t listening. When the manager brought the food out he asked if everything was OK and I told him that my order was wrong. He tried to “fix” it, but his initial comment was to lead me to keep the wrong dish and they would just take off some of the price. It wasn’t, “oh let me go get you your proper order.”
I kept the wrong dish because it’s tacky not having your food when the rest of your family is eating. (I ordered steak & shrimp and didn’t want to wait for another one to be cooked) But that wasn’t all… the wrong dish was borderline cold. I tasted my daughter’s fries and they were also very lukewarm. It’s like the food was made, and made to sit until all the food for that table was ready and then it was brought out. I asked the waitress to warm up my food, but that did little good. We don’t eat out a lot, so when we do it’s a semi-special occasion. While this won’t cause us to stop going here, it will make me consider other restaurants to visit and spend our money.
