Cindy's Restaurant

I've been going to this restaurant for about 20 years. Always good service and good food. Would like the for the menu to change a bit with some new dishes but I always go to my favorites anyway.

I had the beef and barley soup I paired it with some sliced sour dough bread. It was great! Rich and tasty.

I don't normally reach for or volunteer my time and effort actively seeking reviews. My reviews come to me, thank you very much. I'm good at what I do. Having said this, you should make note of it when I do a product review for which I asked because they're so few and far between. It means that I really, REALLY liked your flavor, style, idea, or colors and I would love to take a closer look at what you're doing. Relax, breathe, get the bug out of your butt, I'm already impressed. I'm not Bakersfield, California born and raised and the nomadic lifestyle is just that; no one place to call home and no staying anywhere long enough to get comfortable. It's not exactly the life for which I remember dreaming in my childhood, but it suits me just fine. "Just fine" is quite good enough for me, too. I also loathe mayonnaise... (Absolutely and unquestioningly, everyone.) Keeping this firmly in mind, I ordered the tuna salad sandwich because I always give the sandwich to someone else. Most of the time, it's pretty much a given that my order is going to be screwed up and it's going to be in a way that makes me faintly ill and takes a star away from my overall review. Oh, and I absolutely abhor mayonnaise. Did I mention that before? I'm not trying to be overly dramatic, I just wanted to illustrate a point for you. I want you to understand what I mean when I say that I ate both sandwiches in record time. They were scrumptious. I mean, these things were perfect and I didn't smell mayonnaise or get nauseated eating it. That's some seriously awesome tuna salad. You gotta give them a try, ladies and gentlemen. If you don't, you're missing out and I don't want you to come crying to me. I told you about it, you have to go give it a whirl. Come to think of it, I got so wrapped up in eating the tuna salad, which comes sandwiched between two slices of the generic sandwich bread that’s reminiscent of what Mom used to make and has childhood calling, that I forgot to take note of my surroundings and the waitstaff that largely seemed pleasantly nearly invisible. (Well done, ladies and gents… It’s a mark of true professionalism, in my opinion.) I actually regretted eating the whole thing this time not because it was disgusting, but because then, I couldn’t have any more of that mouthwatering tuna salad sandwich. Bravo! PSST!!!! My husband and I love this diner! It's quaint and the customer service is spectacular. I enjoy the "complete breakfast" while my husband usually orders the bbq bacon cheeseburger or ham n scrambled eggs. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. Come to Cindy's for an excellent, comfy dining experience!

Great service, food, and regular staff who goes above an beyond to take care of you. I go every week and the server remembered me by time 3. Now we joke as if we were old friends
