Went with my family for a dinner out. We had an awesome time. The staff was wonderful, friendly and polite. We opted for their three and three (three small margaritas and three tacos, for $9) the food was amazing. I also ordered a sweet cocktail called a Pink Panther that was heaven in a glass. Clean and beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend.

Bar service was extremely slow when I was there on a Friday night. Took me 15 minutes to get my first drink because there was only one bartender and the waitress that took our order was not eager to help. The bar was not even very busy yet as it was only 430pm. No one smiled or apologized. Had fish tacos for dinner in the dining area. Wait staff there was great and quick. Fish tacos were a bit disappointing. Could hardly tell there was fish in them. What I did taste was good, just wish there had been more of it. They were loaded with cabbage however. Beans and Spanish rice were delicious.

This place has some high-quality food with top notch service! I had a new York that was grilled to perfection. Not the best cut of meat but really flavorful and tender. The beans and rice were equally as good. We also had the table side guacamole. 2 large avocados with just the right heat level. Throw in home made tortillas and roasted salsa and I think this is the best Mexican restaurant in town. The owner cane to our table and introduced herself. This is something I always appeeciate!! And what a nice lady. Living 1/2 mile away I think this will become a frequent spot for us.

Good if you are looking for bland Mexican food with a fancy look, then this is your place. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food at descent price and with real flavor, then go somewhere else. I was disappointed with the food. Mole didn't taste good, no flavor. Fancy dishes and silverware didn't improve the taste. Our party of 7 was disappointed. Would not go back.

I went for lunch and got the Sol Y Luna and went over there Lunch Special Menu. It was okay, pretty much a White washed version of Mexican Food. The Priced was fairly decent, the chips and salsa were not good, the salsa having no spice to it and having more of a burnt chipotle flavor. What saved my review was the flavor to their shredded beef. OMG the shredded beef was amazing one of the best I've had in Bakersfield. The service was pretty decent also. Defiantly try the shredded beef burrito.
