I've been coming here for over 30 years. The service now is much better than it was 5 years ago or so. Back then, the staff was sullen and it took forever to get food, even if you called ahead. Now, the food is always ready when I get there 15 minutes after calling and the staff is friendly. Granted, when it's really busy, you might not get a smile, but that placed gets absolutely bombed, so who can blame them for being a little stressed? The portions have shrunk and the prices increased over the years, but hey, this is SoCal; the bang-to-buck ratio is constantly shrinking. Is there better food elsewhere? Sure, but this place is within walking distance for me and I'm seldom disappointed in the food.

Great food! Service needs to be stepped up a bit. My food sat in the window for 30 mins while I sat in the lobby. I was quoted 10 minutes. Watched 3 other people get their food before me. They ordered after me and they ordered the same thing. Cali Burrito. Need to pay more attention. Edit: Adding another 2 stars because at least the people were nice and the food was still hot and delicious when we got home which was a 30 min drive.

My daughter needed food while she was in labor and delivery she got the green light to eat and we came here because she loves Mexican food and we heard it was good. I'm giving three stars because it took 45 min to complete my order. By the time we got back to the hospital she was starving and her baby's blood sugar was low... but because this place took so long she didn't get to eat it and it put my grandson at risk. Gotta have more cools or figure out timing

This place is really great. The food is quick, good and priced well. I go there every time I go to JBSA.

Chula Vista staple! One if the best taco shops in the south bay. Pretty expensive though but the food is always delicious. Everything I've had here has been good. Try the tsunami burrito or the tsunami fries or chips for some surf and turf!
