I am sad and disappointed. I came in with my family, parents and brother, total of four people. We got there around 6pm and were greeted right away however, it took 13 minutes to have a waitress take our drink orders and the place wasn't even busy (many open tables). Luckily, we had decided what we all wanted so we had ordered our drinks and food. After the orders were placed, we received chips and salsa which the chips were very stale and bland. My brother and I actually like to time the food service and see how long it takes. The 15 minute mark came and we brushed it off and decided to keep waiting. 25 minute mark came and still nothing, our waitress wasn't even around to ask for the update on the food. 35 minute mark came and the waitress finally came and told us that the food will be out shortly, unfortunately , she said there was a "delay" so we brushed that off too. 47 minutes passed and we finally got our food, almost 7pm. Not sure why the long wait when we ordered very simple entrees; 3 fish tacos, fajitas, grilled salmon, and enchiladas. At first, I wasn't as bothered to have waited so long, not after I tasted the food. My fish tacos were pretty bad, very bland, no seasoning, and rubbery. I tried my brothers fajitas and it was the same in texture, rubbery. My dad's salmon was so dry with cold veggies. At this point we were very disappointed, but we chose not to do anything since we hardly ever saw our waitress. It did start to get busy right around 8pm but we had already paid and were getting ready to leave. We are probably not coming back. I am sad because the Karina's that was in El Cajon was so great and delicious. I know its a whole new location, chefs, manager, etc. but in conclusion, the service was disappointing as well as the food. If I ever do decide to come back I will try something else and hope to find the service a bit better next time.

This place has tons of different ceviche ! If you love seafood give this place a try! Good happy hour specials, generous portions. Friendly staff

Poor service. Arrived and were told it would be an hour wait, one hour later we were told ten people were ahead of us. Instead of trying to help staff just argued and didn’t help. Good micheladas though

So I have been to a few different Karen’s and I just think there food is sooooo bad it’s bland. The guac has noooooo flavor and the surf and turf burrito had so much guac. I’ve tired giving the restaurant more chances but I must say I love mariscos and being in sounthern Cali you can find amazing quality for waaay cheaper and that’s so much more flavor. I just wouldn’t go back anymore I think ppl really go cuz of the staff although they are very pretty it’s not enough to go eat bad food.

I was ignored completely. Horrible service. (I never got my food or my drink and I waited at least 30 minutes) Rude waitresses. Rude bartender. The manager apologized to the wrong person and did absolutely nothing to make the situation better. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
