We've gone to a few different teppanyaki restaurants and have had great experiences and good experiences. Sakanaya has always been great. Some of the food is better at different places, even though sakanaya has great tasting food. What puts them ahead of most places is the service. Every chef we have had provides amazing service. They are entertaining, fun, exciting, and giving. I can't recommend then enough. I always have a fun experience.

Calm atmosphere, not very busy and absolutely delicious teppanyaki! Our chef was awesome and extremely accommodating. Not very expensive either. I will definitely return!

This was a great lunch with weekend lunch specials. They weren't crowded, but plenty busy for a lunch rush. Quality, portions, and service were great. We had 4 orders of teppanyaki a specialty sushi roll (weekend special on all lunch time rolls) and two adult drinks, our total was 112. The teppan cherry was extra great with the kids and the older couple at our table had a hoot at their reactions to everything.

Solid lunch pricing, friendly staff, nice ambiance. Would definitely come back here again when I am in the Area, and recommend it strongly for those who want good food and don't want it spend a ton. American style Japanese with a full sushi area and bar

Food is pretty flood, we had a really entertaining cook this time. It really isn't as high quality of an experience as the price tag promises. The cheapest tepanyaki dish is $22 for dinner.. for chicken. It was a birthday celebration so I didn't complain, but no one came around and offered dessert or anything. It was a good time, but definitely not the best tepanyaki place in Fresno
