This is a great local spot you could miss it if you didn't know it was there. It's a small intimate setting. The food was delicious, it was definitely fresh. The margarita was so good. I definitely recommend this place for quality Mexican food. The staff were helpful and attentive, overall great service.

Great family owned place in Altadena. The food is good, and tastes home cooked. There is usually a line out the door of hungry locals. If you're in the Dena, it's a good spot for sit down or takeout.

If you like good, real and fresh Mexican food do not pass this place up. The owners are such wonderful people and it shows in there food and service. You get way more than you pay for so leave a good tip.

This place is great. The good: Small community feel. People know people here, and say hello and chit-chat. The staffing at the restaurant is like a family. Treat them like your cousins, aunts and uncles, and they will, of course treat you well. Just like anywhere, the more you get to know them, the better they treat you. The food is good, and reasonably priced. The "bad": You will only find bad here if you are hyper critical. No, this is not a posh place. Go somewhere else for that. They don't do fusion menu items, it is not that kind of place. They do get busy, because people like to connect here, so it is possible you may have to wait for 20 min mid week at dinner time. Longer if you come on the weekend at peak dining hours. Worth going, if you are near by.

To start, our table was cleaned off by a dirty rag. The smell permeated for a good 5 minutes. I should have looked at that as an omen. The shredded beef in my enchilada was inedible. It was so tough and chewy I couldn't even chew it and swallow. I literally had to spit it out into my napkin. I was so excited to try this place, because there are not very many eateries in Altadena, but I will not return. The service was sub-par. We were not even asked how our food was. The server chose to chat with her friends at a table, she was actually sitting down with them and ignoring everyone else. Such a shame.
