Former employee writing. Food is good, bit over priced but not workers' fault. Majority of staff is excellent aside from manager. Went in to pick up check and was not given full amount. Manager is rarely on location nor does he respond so could not discuss this issue. Charges employees for meal break and has no regard for labor laws. Montclair store considerately better. WOULD AVOID THIS LOCATION.

Update: tried them again today (everyone deserves a second chance I guess). Still failed. Out of drinks again (didn’t tell me until after I had paid) and forgot the cheese on my food. When I asked for my cheese, they put my whole plate, potato salad and all, under a heat lamp. Their confident table was a disaster. As was their Ice Cream machine. Don’t come here, I hiked all the way over here on my lunch and they were literally sold out of half their meat selection. I settled for what they had only to be told that they were sold out of all but their diet drinks. Nobody tried to make it right, there was no empathy. As I write this people are walking in, only to walk right out. What a way to make a first impression. And then sent them on feedback site and got an automated reply and a coupon for a “free drink”. No thanks! I wasted my lunch break.

I ordered online to avoid the issue mentioned in reviews of slow wait times ordering in-store. It worked! The sole visible employee on duty cheerfully and methodically packed up my order when I requested it. They had also placed the hot items in warmers to keep their temperature, nice touch! There was an order flub that worked out in my favor - I ordered two brisket plates but when I got home, it turned out I was given ribs instead. Upgrade! The ribs themselves were decent - fall-off-the-bone tender but lacking in smoke. There was plenty of zing in the spicy barbecue sauce. The potato casserole ended up being decadent bacon-y mashed potatoes. And the beans were sweet and savory, if a bit soupy. The extra-charge jalapenos were awful - mushy and bland. The Mac and cheese and Caesar salads were unexceptional, according to my brother. Overall, not a bad value for 24 bucks for two plates. I usually spend $8 at Del Taco just to be hungry an hour later. So $12, while 50% more, was worth it today for the more flavorful food. Similar to what I'd pay for a meal at Chipotle (with chips and guac). Just a quick and hearty meal if you want some bbq in the Upland area. I'd go back, it not daily, maybe once or twice a month.

Two employees taking their break at the same time while one employee deals with the whole line from start to finish this place is over all good just needs better management
