The food here is really good - definitely make a reservation or be prepared to wait. If you come for breakfast/brunch and get there before 10am, you'll probably have a short wait or no wait at all. It's right in the heart of the Abbott Kinney shopping district, so there are a lot of boutiques and shops in the area. If you've never explored the area, i would highly recommend doing that either before or after you enjoy a meal at Gjelina. Gjelina also has a little to-go shop next door to this one where you get coffee, tea, pastries, snacks, etc. to take with you if you dont feel like waiting for a table.

Gjelina is a unique restaurant. The menu varies seasonally, and it is best to order family-style and share the plates. The food is excellent. Their wine list is very good and the staff knows it well. Ask them for advice. It's particularly good with French wines. It can get a bit noisy, but if you are on the patio it is ok.

This place is delicious. A little pricey, but it's a great restaurant, from ambiance to flavor profiles and presentation. A diverse selection of vegetables prepared in gourmet oils and seasonings. Great for a date night or similar special experiences.

Book early, this place fills up. Solid option for business meetings and showing tourists a slice of the foody side of LA. Great American style food, with good selection of drinks. Also has a nice family style area so you can always pop in at the last minute and see if there is space.

Delicious food and wine. They do things with vegetables that you wouldn’t believe. And our waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful, not to mention passionate about the food and restaurant. Would have given a 5-Star rating but they don’t serve liquor.
