Stopped in for the first time yesterday and got 3 meals, two jerk chicken and a curry combo with oxtails, to go. The best way to describe this meal, aside from grossly overcooked, is horrible. How much salt does that pot need? Yes, they serve a ton of food for cheap, but man, this is the worst food I have ever bought from a Jamaican restaurant. It left me so nauseous. Next up is the Gas that woke me up in the middle of the night; I farted myself awake! Ever had that happen? My friend who got the other meal, she said her boyfriend left in the middle of the night cause she had gas so bad that they both were choking, he thought she was trying to kill him. We both had bellyaches all night. I despise throwing out food, now I have to throw out two meals. Not cool.

Let me me keep it way real.....don't waste your money. I can't beleive how many people think this place is good, maybe they have never really tasted actual good Jamaican food. I have had it all over from Jamaica, Brooklyn NY, Washington DC and Atlanta. Beef patty.....meat was not fresh and the seasoning is terrible. Chicken patty, seasoning is terrible, but taste better than the beef. Main dish, brown stew chicken, what the hell is this, it taste like they put bbq sauce in it. Get out of here with that. That wasn't brown stew chicken at all.....complete waste of my money had to throw it out!

I love this place!! It's right in the heart of historical Leimert Park. I like to place phone orders ahead of time because it's always busy but definately worth it.
