The food is good, it would have been a five-star but the customer service was not all that great

Think Benihana on a budget - cheaper ingredients, very basic staff training, unmaintained decór. The result is a deadened experience, a sad parody of teppanaki. Worth avoiding, even at a quarter of the price.

Went to the one in berkeley ca last nite for my birthday..made reservations two weeks in advance for 30 people for 630. So my dad and moms get there at 6 to check in and they said i had to be there understandable..then i get there at 640 and they said is whole party here. They wanted everyone there before they seated us understandable..so everyone came and the manager lady tells me they are waiting on a table to leave then we were next..by this time we got seated it was 8. They took our orders at 820 and forgot my table so by the time our table ate it was 930...after all the complaining waitresses not knowing who is doing what table, holding my credit card before we were seated, and not having enough tables for us some of my party had to sit at the bar, bills being charged wrong, the whole situation was horrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone who has a large party to eat there ever. 😒😣😲😡😠😤👎

It was my first time there. I was invited for a party. They took way too long to seat us eventhough we had a reservation. I cannot comment on the food. I did not have any. But I did have two specialty drinks at the bar. Don't know if I want to go back.

This place used to be quite enjoyable. However now it has a certain musty smell, the food is subpar, our steaks we're so tough we didn't eat them, my scallops we're undercooked, basically raw in the middle. They did cook them more for me but they still lacked flavor. The chef we had did a good job at keeping the babies enterined so there's one star and the rest of the staff was really nice so there's the other star.
