Nice place to kick back for dinner with friends who have not so adventurous tastes - old fashioned "American" menu - no vegetarian, no vegan, just plain food. Ok, yes there may be a veggie burger on the menu and fish for those who enjoy that. There are pleasant canal views from the outdoor terrace and wrap-around windows. In the casual cafe section, you get a giant basket of salted peanuts in the shell so not for those who have a peanut allergy! And not for folks who just can't stop eating those peanuts either! Toss your shells on the floor, order a beer and burger and you are all set for a pleasant time.

It is okay. The service is average. My clam chowder was tasty but very thick. My spoon did not sink into the soup. There is a nice view of a marina. It is a good place to visit, once.

if you don't have a reservation they stick you up stairs... You don't want to touch anything as you get the vibe that nothing has been cleaned in about a decade, sticky magpo everywhere.... took the waiter forever to take our order (understaffed) and by the time our food arrived it was cold... the bread was about a week old... but the chowder was tasty... way over priced for the quality of food you get... we won't be back...

Great chowder and crab cakes. A little pricey. Don't get the beef stew! Good service. 25% discount with coupon from nearby best western.

Decent steak and seafood restaurant on the water tucked away on the Embarcadero in Oakland. I recently ordered their Gilroy burger which was unique in that it was a blackened burger with a good amount of heat to it. The fries were decent and the service is always friendly however for whatever reason this last visit the service was also incredibly slow. Regardless, it was well worth the wait.
