Norman's has the small town diner feel (with prices to match) that is perfect for breakfast or lunch in Castro Valley. I have been coming about once a week since it opened and am fully addicted to their breakfast burritos. There is a chorizo, egg, cheese and home fry hash brown (made with red potatoes) or a steak and jalapeño version. They are both so delicious that its not possible to pick a favorite. My 3rd favorite is the build your own omelet. The sky is the limit. The staff is so warm and welcoming...I can't recommend Norman's enough...you have to try it for yourself.

Old fashioned diner with an antique look. I really like how old album covers are used to decorate the walls. Portions are sized just right and prices are fair. Meatloaf with mushroom gravy and spaghetti with meatballs are both good. Breakfast scrambles are also tasty. Clientele is typically older; I've had some very nice conversations with people at neighboring table's. Everyone seems to be friendly here.

Every time I have gone here I have really enjoyed the food! I usually end up getting the Country Fried Steak breakfast (it's super good!) but I have had other food on their menu as well, and it's all been good. The portions are generous (especially the French fries which are the absolute best). The wait staff has always been nice to my 2 year old son when we go and takes our order professionally. Overall I like Norman's a lot. As a matter of fact, I might just take my son after writing this post haha

Cute place, modernish decor with a touch of retro. Friendly and quick service, Food was great. Portions were great for price. Not costly at all. Thumbs up. 👍

Food is good. I had the meatloaf it was tasty but dry. Service was good but they could have used a second waitress or busboy to help.
