Good food and amazing ambiance. Was I bit pricey, but I feel like the setting makes it worth it. It takes advantage of the amazing architecture of the mission hotel and essentially transports you to another time and place. It is open air but obscured by plants enough to let you forget you're in a modern downtown. Honestly, the food is secondary in the experience, but nevertheless, quite good.

Yesterday we celebrated our friends birthday at 11:00!! There were 5 of us!! Lovely day in the gorgeous patio. I decorated the table while others arrived. Chips were laid down, waters brought and when the birthday girl arrived (just the 2 of us at this point) we waited and waited for a server!! THE ONLY ONES THERE!! After 15 minutes we asked for help. She Jeff was our server and he would be right here; we asked her if we could order a drink which she gladly took our order. NEVER saw Jeff until he carried out the drinks. Bottom line, our service was poor!! 5 parties in the patio and we had to ask for him or help from someone else. We felt quite neglected especially in a place that boasts about their fine dining and service. When we were done eating, asking to have our plates cleared and graciously done by the bus personnel and another server, we were preparing to have the dessert we had brought and Jeff came and started dropping off our checks without as much as "Would you care for anything else". I kindly asked him if he could WAIT until we were done!! The patio was full at this time and he appeared to have tables in the back half. Perhaps he should have turned us over to someone up front!! The food was good, but so so disappointed in the service especially because it is NOT cheap. I had dinner the Sat previous in the Spanish Garden and boasted to our server there how wonderful and attentive he was!! We all felt that not to validate at this restaurant was a mistake! We spent over $200 for lunch and a $23 valet ticket...Seriously?? Jeff truly had a sweet spirit and smile, but he needs some training or put in a section that he can handle.

I'm trying to figure out how anyone could give them a bad review!!! This BEAUTIFUL restaurant is tucked into the entrance of the Mission Inn. Surrounded by nothing but garden and gorgeous architect of the Spanish style hotel the views are to die for. The service was amazing. The food was traditional Hispanic food. And let me say it was on point. If your looking for a drink grab a Mission Margarita. Probably the best I've ever had. I would come here again and again hands down.

Beautiful and historic place to have a meal. Food was excellent. Service was good. Margaritas were the best. Try the Wine tasting room.

Food looks better than it taste. Extremely dissapointing food that doesn't match their high prices. In the end your paying for the atmosphere.
