Unique place with lots of history. The food is super good, worth coming back again. I wanna try everything. The beef and sausage , and the beef and cheese on a croissant look amazing, I am getting those next time I come in.

Great service and Great tasting, high quality, food. It's a bit pricey ($8.64 double ðŸ”) but it's well worth it. The beef was 1/3lb of well seasoned deliciousness. They only have two restaurants in Cali and I'm happy to be near one of them

I've eaten at Portillos in Chicago, so I went to try this location out when I was visiting my parents from Dallas. When we got there at 30, the doors were locked an all the employees were standing inside. After knocking on the door the manager informed us the lost power and they went reopen until 8 or so (1 hr before closing). This was my birthday dinner and the only chance I had of eating here, so I waited. When they finally opened at around 8 they were very welcoming and didn't seem to mind that we waited. The food is OK, it's not Whataburger, but it was decent. I didn't like the Italian Beef, was not impressed, but the Hot Dogs were good. Shake and the cake was good. Overall I was satisfied and full after my meal.

The food is great. I am never disappointed when I eat at Portilloâ€™s. The service is also great, the employees are polite. The location is very convenient as well. No complaints! Everyone loves hot dogs and if you donâ€™t, I donâ€™t know what is wrong with you.

NEW review: This place has gone down hill. They've raised prices and now charge .60 cents for adding peppers, which used to be free. The service is rude and slow. I waited in the drive thru for 15-20 mins total. AND WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN LINE! They offered no excuse or discount for the wait. I also question their sanitary procedures as the lady who handed me my bag of food was just "scrubbing" as she described, but didn't wash her hands at all. I doubt I'll be coming back here anymore. Definitely not worth the hassle. ---------------- I love this place, I haven't ordered something that I didn't end up liking. The Chicago dogs are the best, everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. The Italian Beef Sandwich is also super good, I haven't tasted anything this good, and I almost always order it. The fries are typically cooked to perfection and are just the right amount of crispiness. One of the best desserts is here as well, the chocolate cake shake, oh my God. This is so rich and flavorful, I don't know how they're able to have just the right sized pieces of chocolate cake so that it doesn't clog the straw, but it is perfect. If you're in the area, you NEED to stop here!
