#1 recommend place for a breakfast spot. I honestly looked up the best eggs Benedict places in San Diego, as that is my girlfriend's favorite breakfast. I personally am a biscuits and gravy kind of guy. Anyways I decided to take her to new places every week, we started with The Cottage. After going to over 10 places, we both overwhelmingly agreed that this was the best place. On top of the food being excellent, the setting is a quite cafe with perfect outdoor seating. I recommend reserving a spot or preparing for somewhat of a line. However, you will not be disappointed in choosing this place.... forever my go to

Outdoor seating is great. Food is good but never been that impressed by anything I've gotten. If you go on a weekend make sure to reserve your table ahead of time on their app and then check in when you get there. Long wait times ! They do provide people waiting with coffee and yummy crumb cake though :) Their bloody Mary comes with bacon, shrimp, celery and olives. They have delicious homemade tangerine juice.

Watch out Cottage....a walk across the street to Sugar and Scribe made me completely disagree with your rating of #1. Food was very good, but theirs was better. Latte was okay at Cottage, and a work of art at S & S. Don't wait in line at Cottage if you can get in over at Sugar & Scribe! It's more than worth the walk across the street. Cottage food was delicious don't take me wrong....it just didn't quite measure up to what was served across the street.

Small place that always boasts a big line, and for a good reason. The service is incredibly fast and the food is amazing. Not my first time here, or my first time getting the stuffed French toast, and will certainly not be the last. Portions are large and tasty.

This was my favorite restaurant we went to on our San Diego trip. Amazing food, I have a ton of food allergies and they were so kind and accommodating. Their breakfasts are so amazing! I also love the restaurant and cute picket fence. It was a great experience all around.
