Excellent views of the cove and tasty brunch. The service was excellent and the food was a very good value for the area. Wait times are only around 15 minutes at worst. The tables near the balcony fill up first so you may want to get here sooner if you want a better view. You can chill at the bar while you wait. A very nice, highly recommended experience.

Amazing view. Very good value for the area. Service is ok. Not outstanding but nothing disappointing. Food was really good and they have interesting promos during “Aloha hours” (happy hour). I definitely recommend this place if you are not looking for the upscale restaurants in La Jolla but you still want to enjoy the amazing view over Prospect street.

This place had a great view of the ocean. Especially around the time of sunset. The atmosphere is lively, the staff is extremely friendly, and the place seems clean. The food itself was average, but not terrible. Though It was enough to keep coming back. Overall you must try.

My dad made a reservation for 4/20 at Dukes in La Jolla for my mother’s birthday @ 8pm. I heard him make the reservation and confirm with the girl he was speaking too the day and the time. When the whole family showed up at Dukes the staff told us they made the reservation for the wrong day. The staff got the general manager. My dad asked the general manager to make it right by seating us at the time we had reserved and explained we were trying to celebrate my moms birthdy. The general manager started arguing with my dad and told my dad it was probably my dads fault that my dad probably told the girl the wrong day. My dad insisted to the GM he needed to make it right and the GM told my dad he needed to talk with him outside. My dad told him he was not going to go outside and he is a customer who should be treated with respect. My dad told him to forget it and we ended leaving and not getting served. The GM needs to grow a freaking pair and own up to his staffs mistakes. Dukes needs to get a new GM who knows what the meaning of customer care is. Which is not blaming the customer and telling them that if they want to talk they have to go outside. Thanks British GM dude whose name I wish I knew so I could call you out for making my moms birthday so wonderful.

Appetizers and desserts were great. We ate at the bar upstairs. Our meals were probably a one star. Food was extremely over priced and not good at all. They didn’t have the full menu available upstairs so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt with three starts and good dessert. Our waiter also told us that they were out of wings. When we were leaving we saw two other tables get wings.
