I like Claim Jumper but I no longer love them. Back before they were bought by Landry's this place was GREAT! With that said, the food is good and the portions are still big. But you'd know the difference if you remember how it used to be. I like the Landry's Club though. It's very generous so be certain to sign up and it works for many different restaurants. Bottom line is this is a 4.5 star for me in the chain restaurant category but not a 5 like it was back in the day.

Every time we go here, I tell myself and my family that we need to remember never to come back. It’s too bad, as it used the be very nice. Average meals are $15.+ and many of the food items are mediocre at best. Sons $15 hamburger was as if cooked in the morning and microwave reheated. Appetizers were as if frozen, packaged, microwaved. Calzone was a liquid mush inside a soggy bread loaf with an acre of crust. It has been disappointing the past 3 times... but some family keeps choosing to go there based on some “way it used the be” memory. That atmosphere is wonderful. So is the decor and vibe. The manager was helpful and recognized some bad food before it came to us and made amends, but... the food quality just sucks. I think we go back to “give it one more try”... but 3 times I can recall make me regret it.

I will this with mixed feelings. The food was delicious and the waiter was courteous & attentive. However the dinner started off on a negative note by the hostesses. We walked in right before 5pm and gave the hostess our name. She told us it will be only 5-10 min. We waited about 20 minutes before asking the hostess how much longer. They had skipped our name in the list. They sat us immediately but did not apologize for the mistake. It was a little upsetting. Photos show the dessert cabinet. Complimentary cheese bread. Ribeye (medium 12oz) with grilled veggies and loaded mashed potatoes. Chicken pot pie. Kid's hamburger with grapes & fries. Kid's pizza (doesn't come with sides).

My son and I really like going to the Claim Jumper. Food, service, and atmosphere are great. My son likes their steaks and the Drunken Chicken. I like their produce bar and burgers. We both appreciate the warm cheese bread that come to the table after ordering.

Delicious food and really giant deserts. Really cool old west mining or logging town theme. Good specials in the bar at happy hour. Great reasonably priced lunch. Nice salad bar. Some TV screens but they're not plastered all over the place. I like this because I want to sit in the bar without visiting a sports bar.
