I've only tied a salad from here, so maybe other options are better, but I didn't feel like my salad was that great. I got the BBQ chicken salad. It was fine, but the lettuce was huge (too big for a bite) and they didn't put many other toppings on it. For $13 I would expect a more fully loaded salad. I like the concept of this place and if I go back I would try something other than a salad.

This place is amazing. The food is fresh and healthy. The outdoor seating area is great year around as there are heating elements and it is partially inclosed. The atmosphere and vibe is cool. No matter what you choose it is going to taste great. I like the steak and 2 sides plate; for $13 you can’t beat it. You can do salads, plates, sandwiches or bowls and each one has its own line to get in. When it’s busy the line can get a little confusing but worth it once you sit down to eat.

Late Yelp Post(9/2/2016): I have been in love with this place since I first discovered U.P. in Del Mar. First, the atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed, and the decor is super chic. I love the lighting and the nature essence with plants all around. The fire pit is one of my favorite spots to sit by to stay warm around late night, chill evenings with my man. There is a wide variety, ranging from salads to sandwiches; plates and subsides and mini pizza platters; delicious delectables and desserts. I love their mint lemon honey green tea! You cannot go wrong in this place, always something delicious and new to try out. The customer service is always on point and the fact that they aid people in seating accommodation is very nice. Im so glad they finally have a second location, and one a littler closer to home.

Love the variety of options that are available for a quick bite. This is fast but healthy food. I like that they allow you to choose from a variety of options including soups, salads and hot sides like sweet potato and more. It’s similar to a poke place or subway in which you want the staff prepare your food in front of you. Just beware of the dessert section that you linger by while at the register. The dessert selection is hard to pass up. Try the peanut butter chocolate cupcakes.

Delicious menu consisting of fresh farm to table ingredients. The latest addition are poke bowls served over reasoned rice, and lamb osso bucco, which is tender and full of flavour. I am a long time fan of the original location, but this has more seating, a hybrid of indoor/outdoor of sorts, created by the overhead heaters.
