I haven't been to Rubio's in a long time but it hasn't been that long. I ordered the Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp tacos and I was really disappointed. I don't know what it was, the tortillas maybe weren't fresh, the shrimp didn't taste fresh either. On top of that, they changed the salsa, too! Definitely not the same as I remembered. So, disappointing. :-(

Certainly one of the better chains in town. I kind of preferred the simpler menu they had in the past. Hands down, the best fish taco in San Diego. Fresh quality fish in a soft taco, the rest is Okay, but not what I go there for. The service is always friendly and fast and the restaurant clean. I really liked the big fish tank, not sure why they got rid of them, but I guess they are a maintenance nightmare.

Excellent service, consistently great food, friendly staff, always clean and bright. I love the Fish Taco Especial and add the roasted Chipotle salsa

I've picked up lunch from here twice. The people are nice. The food is alright. They made one of my orders wrong (chicken instead of steak), but I didn't find out until I was already home and eating. The shrimp tacos are my favorite from here.

Rubio's is userally very good, my last visit not so much. Rice had been sitting for a while .... was mushy and gummy.... kinda ruined the bowl I was enjoying. Chicken was perfect though !
