I lived in Japan for 3 years as a teacher. This is the best ramen I've had outside Japan. Maybe that's because it's an award winning family run business. And yes the owner moved here from Japan to get the store up and running. He's still cooking daily behind the counter. Just note you will be waiting at least an hour if you come at peak times. They shut down the wait list so the store can close at a reasonable hour. Don't try to come in last minute.

They have consistently great ramen. I really enjoy this place. Update: at times it may be a little too oily but there is a low sodium option :)

The Miso vegetable ramen was just okay. It had very little vegetables or significant flavor. The wait staff was polite EVEN when they rushed my group and I to pay all while I was still eating. And after they got their money and tip, they VERY kindly asked us to leave so they could serve others. Distasteful to say the least. I won't be back.

So much flavor in every ingredient, every bite. Broth is creamy and delicious. Noodles are fresh, and eggs! I haven't had a better bowl of ramen!

Great food. Perfect pork broth, not overly creamy like some places. Love the chasu and texture of the ramen. However, the store is located next door to a cigar bar. You can smell cigars while waiting and when inside eating. It was very strong smell. I would have give it 5 stars++, if there wasn't any smell of smoke.
