As breakfast places to eat, it's not bad. It's clean, friendly people, plenty of room, good service, reasonably priced. But don't expect any special orders on any menu item to be successful. They are incapable of completing even the simplest request such as making sure hash browns are cooked all the way through. I had to send them back 3 times & they still didn't get it right. Recommend "KISS" Order... ~V.

I've come here plenty of times when it's not busy and had a lovely time, but the place really falls apart during it's busy times. I tried to have brunch here with my daughter on a Saturday around 11 and there was a line out the door. This isn't unusual as it's a popular place with good food, so I put my name on the wait list and was told the wait would be a half hour. Totally fine at this point, but an hour later no one had been seated, the line had gotten much longer, and about of the third of the tables in the restaurant were clean and ready to seat guests. When I asked why no one was being seated I was informed that the kitchen had fallen far behind on orders and they were helping them catch back up. For what I assume is the busiest time on its second busiest day of the week, letting the kitchen get so backed up that you can't seat guests FOR AN HOUR OR MORE is unacceptable. Steer clear of this one, folks. If you absolutely need to eat at a broken yolk check out the location in Oceanside or Carlsbad.

Had their regular chicken vegetable soup which wasn't very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. They only serve some drinks, soft drinks, in a 16oz size. Also, seems that portions quite large, therefore reason for higher prices for mediocre food. I was meeting others, not my choice, would not go back.

The Broken Yolk location off is Las Posas rd, San Marcos, CA had a lot to learn from other locations. They think it is a full on BAR instead of a morning breakfast place for families to come and eat. Music is so loud, the waitress had to ask us multiple times what we wanted because we could not hear each other. The manager should have figured this out as he walked around. The restaurant is already loud due to the high volume of customers, and to top it off the loud music. I would fire someone very quickly!!! Sad part, food is great. Service is great!!, the place is clean, they try hard to seat you quickly. Again, fire the mangement, turn down the music. You fire the manager for even letting this happen.
