I didn't realize that Max's Restaurant was back in San Diego until we chanced upon this place as we were in the area. Great food and good service. Can't wait to go back and try the other items on their menu. We started with the chicken and it was as good as we remembered it to be. The fried rice was a great side as well. Will definitely be back soon even if it is really out of our way.

Mango juice 0 star ( taste like water ), palabok 2 star, ubod lumpia 2 star, garlic rice 3 star, fried chicken 3 star, service 2 star, ambiance 4 star and for the price 2 star ( i would understand paying more because of the location but the price of the food is not worth paying specially if its not that delicious. I gave it a 3 star because they are new and needs improvement. Change my review from 3 to 5 because they did change from ok to better. Good job management for serving us better food.

Food was ok. Price was not worth it for the quality of food. Too expensive. There's more good Filipino restaurant which is bit cheaper serving more better food.

The atmosphere is good. I ordered calamari and it looks straight out of premade package that you buy at grocery. Same with some of the dishes, its like straight out of pre-made packages that you buy in asian markets. Filipinos like to dip their food, and their dipping sauces has no effort, just straight out of the bottle.
