This place is a lot cheaper than the cliff house but I think it has a much better view of the ocean and the greenery nearby. It was awesome watching the sunset while eating a hot grilled cheese sandwich (it was chilly that day). The staff are friendly. There’s quite a few options available. Slightly overpriced. They only accept cash. There is an atm inside the cafe. I would definitely go again.

We always come hang out around Lands End and of course avoid the tourist trap restaurants. However, we were starving and decided to try it. This place is cash- only, but they do have an atm inside. There was a wait and we have dogs so we got our food to-go and are right outside overlooking Sutro Baths. The food was pretty standard fair. The fish and chips were good but not fabulous. My husband recommends them. I had a simple grilled cheese which was delicious but what grilled cheese and tomato isn't? They are very generous with the condiments; we got lots of tartar sauce, ketchup, and butter for our food; it was awesome. If you're looking for a place with good views and edible food, this is perfect. It's pricey for being a casual diner ($38 for fish&chips and a grilled cheese with fries), but if you're on vacation, I recommend it.

This place is exactly what it purports to be - old-school diner with decent service, decent food, and spectacular views of Lands End, Sutro Baths, and the Pacific. Not a must-do, but if you're in the area and fancy a grilled cheese sandwich or a slice of pie, it's a comfortable place to take a break. Cash only.

I've had breakfast here most birthdays out of 51. I've enjoyed the ground beef patty breakfast forever. If you're lucky you will see a whale or two swimming around Seal Rock, wondering how all that snow got there.

Every time I end up in San Francisco I come for my Louis' Benedict and a Mimosa. The view is breathtaking and whether you are alone or with company it feels comforting. Also a lot of travelers pass through so if you are okay with being seated with groups you will love meeting new people.
