Excellent food and friendly service; we asked the waiter for recommendations and had a great dinner. I wasn't familiar with Sichuan cuisine and I am already looking forward to going back and trying more things on the menu. Most dishes are spicy (as the name indicates), we were glad we ordered a couple of "not spicy" items, very tasty nevertheless! I am allergic to shellfish but had many options to choose from. Order their herbal tea, it's quite something!

THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN SAN FRAN!!! This place is my family’s must-go everytime we stop by San Fran. We have invited friends from China to here as well. And it never lets us down!! My recommend dishes are the red chili chicken(辣子鸡), roast Peking duck, and 椒麻肥牛

In A Nutshell: -Did you know that Chili House SF is under the direction of Michelin Chef Li Jun Han? -His other restaurant is Z&Y (that's the one in the Michelin guide). -Came here b/c my wife & I were in the mood for some Peking Duck. -After checking in, a nice 50% off coupon for XLB's was available, so we ordered those too. -The XLB's were very good, not bad at all, so order those, especially at 50% off! -The Peking Duck took some time to arrive, but that's expected. -What wasn't expected was the skin, it wasn't crispy, but the duck was still very tasty. Overall, we'll come back again to try some other delicious menu items we saw. Check em out.

My friend and i arrived late to find a packed restuarant. The service was great and the waiter took the time to explain the dishes he felt to be the best in the house. I had the hot and sour tofu soup. It was fire to the mouth. After a few bites, was able to enjoy the unusual flavors. Small size for $7.99. Which was actually a huge bowl. Enough for two or three people.. My friend had cashew nut chicken with added tree ear mushrooms. $12.95, plus a white steamed rice for $1.75. She enjoyed the dish and said she would come back for a repeat visit. We arrived at 8:30 on a monday night and found parking across the street. The food was flavorful with huge portions. A very good meal . Including one beer, the two meals came to $35 dollars including the tax and a tip. Not too bad for SF.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had! Super authentic. Highly recommend going with a group of 4-8 people and splitting a ton of family style dishes - we loved the spicy eggplant, the basil chicken, the beef and scallions in a sizzling pan, the dumplings, and you MUST ORDER the honey walnut prawns!!! So good.
