When you think of going to a bar this is the kind of bar that I think of it's dark they sell beer I can get loud sometimes there's neon lights there's regulars is animated people and it's generally fun. I was a visitor to San Francisco and we were looking for a quick bite and grumpy seemed to fit the bill we went there had some burgers, and everyone seemed to have a good time. I would recommend it. Don't have high expectations, and you will have a good time.

Always crowded but deservedly so. Food is good, service is good, beer is great.

I ordered the Super burger for lunch. The order included onion rings, but I was served fries (they must have omitted the upgrade as I wasn't charged for it), but they got everything else correct. The Super tasted pretty good, maybe a little greasy... Shortly thereafter, less than a block away, I felt a little unwell... then an impending sense of doom fell over me, and I have had to rush to the restroom ten times so far today. The staff was friendly and beer was good, at least.

Really small advertising bar. Not bad if you just want a quick drink after work in the area
