I frequent Penang when I am craving Penang food. Usually the restaurant is not too packed, so it's very easy to get a table or host big groups. Also, the prices are somewhat reasonable for city food near the main tourist areas. It's a great place to eat lunch/dinner if you're touring around San Francisco. You MUST get the Roti if you go here. It is absolutely the best Roti I've had, and I order it every time. The satay chicken is also absolutely delicious. Make sure to order their rice plates or noodles with spice - it adds an amazing kick to the taste. As for service, don't expect Michelin quality. You're in a Chinatown restaurant after all. When you need service, raise your hand politely or flag them down.

One of mine favorite restaurants in SF. Always something new to try. Locals know the place that tourist seldom find.
