Excellent dining experience at this Black Bear location - was beyond satisfied with the courteous service we received from the young waitress who did not skip a beat whatsoever. We've been to the location in Napa and this location left us feeling warm and fuzzy (funny considering it was freezing outside). The food took no longer than 10 minutes to come back to our tables and everything - from the cinnamon roll french toast to the biscuits and bacon - were perfect. As always, the portions were massive and got us ready for the long day ahead. Can't beat the prices as well. This will definitely be a continuous drop-in spot for us whenever we're in the area.

Been here three times. Not once have they gotten an order right. First couple times just a missing side or sauce. Third time was a blood rare burger that my daughter ordered well-done. If you’re into the kind of American diner fare that they offer, then this place should be perfect for you, but the lack of attention by the forward and kitchen staff is amusing. It took our waiter 30’ to even get close enough to our table to mention the burger, oh, and the missing gravy, and by then it was time to get the kids home to bed. They took the price of the burger off the bill, but at that point it hardly seemed enough. And I just remembered they never brought our dessert... Alas.

The food is delicious comfort food. Portions are healthy!! But most of all service is excellent!! Matthew is the definition of customer service. He makes sure to check on you periodically and has the best personality. I give the food and Matthew 5 STARS accordingly!!!! I will definitely be back. Highly recommend it!

Hit the spot,best to go there in earlier hours. I kept reading that it was a gross restaurant so I had to see myself...I am guessing if you go during bysier hours staff has thinned out quite a bit. I was met with a warm welcome and i loved the cute newspaper styled menus. The corned beef hash was really tasty &I loved the oldies playing. It has a nice vibe.

New at this location, but already very busy, probably due to their reputation elsewhere. The first time I went, I dined alone, as they first opened. The waitress was kind enough to turn down the loud music when I requested it. Excellent service for breakfast. I returned with a friend and dined in the main dining area for dinner another time, but the over the table lamp had such a strong glare we devised a cover to deflect some of the brightness. The food was good but the service was spotty, as our waiter took his break while we were dining, so we were turned over to another wait staff person. It took several requests to get butter and a refill of ice water, but the food was good.
