Delicious BBQ. Burned ends were amazing and full of flavorful. Pull pork was tender, juicy and didn't have much fat. Hot links had a good kick and spiciness to them (if you're wanting that). They can make their sweet tea real sweet (like the south). Peanut butter pie is delicious and huge in size!. Mac n cheese tasted very fresh and real, not artificial. Definitely coming back. Service can be slow if you visit during a busy time

I tried this place for the first time today. I am not so sure I will go back. I ordered a half pound of brisket with Carolina and Kansas City sauces to go. The service was good at the pick up window, but I didn't care for the brisket much or for the cleanliness. I knew this place was a hole in the wall so I expected things like the tired flooring, old tables, etc. No big deal. As I stood there waiting for my order I noticed just how dirty everything was. I did not get a good look at the kitchen so I can't comment on that. I also watched a lot of confusion among servers and food going to wrong tables. About the brisket, I ordered half lean half fatty. I liked the first bite. Then the flavor of the spices took over and the smoked beef flavor got buried by salt and the rub seasonings. I had too many bites that just wouldn't chew. I would have expected fall apart tender throughout. I was so disappointed. The KC sauce didn't taste good to me at all and I didn't like the texture. The Carolina had the vinegar tang it should have, but it was a little too mustard-y for me. The place was packed and the other reviews are good, so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing on the wrong day.

Saw the good reviews and decided to try Smoking Pig BBQ. Don’t judge the book by its cover - the restaurant doesn’t look that impressive from the outside, but it was awesome! So glad we went. Delicious food and awesome service. Meat was smoked perfectly and cooked to the perfect tenderness. Only down side I can point out is that due to the portion size, we didn’t have room for dessert. Parking was a little tough too because the lot was full and not much street parking available. I will be back.

Came here during lunch for a training few blocks away. Not sure why I didn't invite anyone else. Maybe because I was just thinking I didn't want to be talked out of going. I had the Tuesday lunch special which is chopped pork/beef sandwich and side for $6.50. Worth every penny. It was overflowing with meat so much that I had to use a fork. Cajun fries were tasty. Super fast and friendly service. I need to come more often.

Stopped in here with the family. Staff was friendly and helpful. We shared two three meat plates and had the wolf turds as an appetizer. The wolf turds were good but not as great I thought based on reviews. I like more of a savory flavor and these were a little more tangy than is my preference. I was very surprised by the chicken. Best BBQ chicken I have had at any restaurant. You can tell it has been smoking for a while. BBQ Beans was the best side. Burnt tips were very good as well as the pork ribs. Pulled pork was okay but probably just because we were full before we ate it since the other items were so good. We will be back next time in San Jose.
