Emperor Norton Italian is not an elegant restaurant but a great place for casual dinning. The Pizza and Eggplant Parmesan are excellent. Although not Italian, the cheese steak sandwich is another GREAT choice. The place changed owners a couple of years ago and the new owner Todd is making the place his own. There is now much needed Wifi and a huge TV in the back room that is really well suited for business or a large party gathering. I read a couple of reviews saying the service was slow but that was not our recent experience. Todd is making some positive changes here and we'll be back. Enjoy!

We ordered the combo pizza with sausage, pepperoni and some veggies. Crust came out nice and crisp and they didn't skimp on the toppings! Sausage pieces were good with a bit of a kick. Also, ordered several pitchers of beer. A blonde and Samuel Adams. Samuel Adams was the clear favorite of the group. We were a big enough group to have our own room so we really enjoyed the space, food and company!

Very good Italian. I like marinara vs tomato sauce. But, this tomato sauce is not sweet and very "tomato'y" so good. I enjoyed the veal parm.

We came in for lunch with about 10 people. The restaurant was empty. They flipped out because we had 10 people and they require groups over 8 to make a reservation. Again, the restaurant was empty and remained that way the entire time we were there. We received absolutely no service even though there were 4 people working. We had to consistently call them to bring silverware, napkins, and water; they never came back to check on the food. When the food arrived I was shocked by the small portions. You basically get a half plate although you are paying for full plate price. This restaurant is an absolute bust. The food was good, but everything else was terrible. I would avoid this restaurant like the plague.

I ordered 1/2 Bummers and 1/2 vege- no peppers (on vege added artichoke, mushrooms and Jalapeño). Once I got home found the whole pizza to be Bummers with Peppers all over it. I don’t eat meat so this was a huge disappointment. Nowhere to be found any vegetarian ingredients. My husband wanted some clam chowder and stated it was so bland, tasted like watered down canned soup. While I waited was also a disappointment to find what I think the new owners are sipping wine with a gentleman trying to sell it to them. A customer walked in and the man who I think was one of the owners ignored him as he continued to drink his wine. I will not return- it’s not just me but have heard similar mishaps from neighbors.
