We were "winging" it, heading south on highway 1 towards Santa Cruz where we were going to see if there was a cute place to stay overnight. We never made it that far and instead discovered the Davenport Roadhouse. They had 1 room left and we snagged it. Best thing we could have done! Lots of incredible hikes right across the street, and a couple nice places to eat and drink. Super friendly staff. The view from the room of course is from across the highway, but it was nice enough, and privided a fresh ocean breeze to fall asleep by. If you are cruising through the area, don't just drive by Davenport. Make it your destination!

The Roadhouse Inn was very comfy and clean. Excellent in-room coffee and locally made toiletries. We had the Swanton Room, which was a little bigger than most of the others, with an okay view. It did have a kinda funky smell, but we opened the doors and it cleared up. Lot of road/traffic noise until about 10 pm. The resturant was very good. We loved the thin crust pesto pizza, Fisherman's Stew, and roasted Brussels sprouts. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food. We were glad we went on Tuesday - live music! Local band 6 to 9 pm.

Love this town, and the Roadhouse is the place to stay. Affordable, ocean views, great in-room coffee, super nice clean comfortable rooms, and a great restaurant, and bar, just downstairs! Great place to eat, good food, drink and company! Always a great choice when stopping on HWY 1... Great place to relax, recharge and enjoy! Love the Roadhouse, can't wait to stay again..

Wonderful service, delicious beers on tap-- my favorite part was the live music! The band, "Wild & Blue", knocked it out of the park. I would definitely go to the Roadhouse again, especially if that duo is playing music!

Nice coffee shop with pretty good ginger cookie. Service was relatively fast and very friendly. Parking is convenient. Park at the roadhouse and restaurant full bar. I kind of wish I was hungry because the lunch and dinner selections looked pretty good on the menu. There's a coffee shop, a separate restaurant, and a hotel.
