A moderately priced sushi restaurant. The staff is incredibly nice, and the music was good. The fish for sushi and sashimi was very good quality. The blue fin tuna is amazing for the price. The only major complaint for the food quality overall was the rice. In both the sushi and bowl of rice I received the rice was dry and spongy, and while palatable, was not an enjoyable experience.

Outstanding Japanese and sushi restaurant in the Bloom Plaza at Blossom Hill and Snell Avenue. Very tasty Sushi, soups, gyoza, and salads. Excellent Sushi chefs that are fun to watch if you are sitting at the counter. Very friendly staff with good service. Plenty of free parking out front.

I would love to rate higher but unfortunately service was very slow. The staff was very nice, but we waited a long time to order and to receive our order. They knew we were waiting, but they were very busy. Perhaps they were shorthanded (wait staff and kitchen). They also served us the wrong noodle dish, but we didn't want to say anything because we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes to get it. We also ordered extra gyoza but never got them. They were on the bill and we had to get it updated. Overall the food was good. It was fresh and plated nicely. The pricing is also fair. I and the group of people who went enjoyed the food but not the experience. We went on Friday night so if you want avoid the wait and possible mistakes, I recommend going at another time.

The only thing that had any flavor was the wasabi. I almost never give a bad review, but with all the 4 and 5 star reviews of this place I had to provide what I think is a more realistic view. My wife and I ordered The Oriental, The Cajun and The Foxy rolls. The cucumber salad that came at the beginning had zero flavor and had me worried from the start. When the Foxy roll showed up my fear was confirmed. It looked unappealing and had a strong smell. Surprisingly, it had almost no flavor at all. The other two rolls looked better buy also lacked any flavor. I am absolutely not exaggerating when I saw the sushi you get prepackaged from Safeway is significantly better. As somebody else mentioned in their review, there were numerous little fruit flies / gnats as well.
