Maybe not the best French food in Bay Area, but definitely best in Fremont area. Service is good, but not super - but then again so are the prices: as far as French food goes, they were reasonable. Do try to French onion soup! UPDATE: we went there again this week and I think it got better, actually. Mushroom soup was great [super flavorful!], and so was pork belly. Again, this is not "the best French place this side of Paris", but it is a solid, quality, not-too-exciting French restaurant. Of course, being French, it is not cheap. But then again -- see above: it is French :-) Update: went again, still as good as before. Their desserts seem to be getting even better.

Excellent food and service. Highly enjoyed every dish we ordered. Unique decor with the plants against the window. Very easy to miss along the highway if not looking for it.

My parents took me here for my 18th birthday, and I've just been back for the second time tonight. The food is every bit as excellent as I recall. The service was magnificent, and the ambiance was wonderful. I'll definitely be returning sooner than it took me to get here than last time!

Host seemed underwater. There was a long wait despite our reservation. Tried to seat others who arrived after we did. Drink order never arrived. Iced tea was wildly strong (couldn't drink it) and must have been fresh brewed as there was no ice. Table service was slow with big gaps in between check-ins. Brussels sprouts were oily AND drizzled with aioli on top? Couldn't eat more than one. Salads were uninspired and dated: spinach, apple, candied walnut. Braised lamb seasonal specialty was missing tzatziki as advertised and the chef compensated with more braising sauce so it was one note. French onion soup with pastry on top was the best item on the menu. Desserts were great. Staff were genuine and friendly.

A bit of kitsch, a bit of French inspiration, and a VERY diverse menu. Largely unchanged for decades, so a fairly consistent experience. Might be the only place in Fremont that consistently serves Beef Wellington. For locals, this is the French version of Massimo's, right down to the wooden flambe cart and black-suited waiters. Dtaff tskes great pride in their service. Reasonable prices, but not inexpensive. Good value.
