Nice place good food. Excellent chicken club so-so pasta. Huge portions great dinner salad and soups. Would have given 5 stars but when we came in we stood around waiting for a while even though the was nice and attentive during our meal

My wife and I went to Waterloo Restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. It was very crowded but started clearing out fast. It was well worth the wait of 15 minutes. The BBQ flavor was great and ribs were tender and my Chicken was moist and juicy flavor in every bite. The potato soup tasted just like home made. The staff here is friendly and I will return here to try some of the desserts next time.

The food is great and so is the service. If you go during peak hours, you should expect to have to wait to be seated. They have the best pesto pasta I have ever had. The mushroom bowl is also delicious.

From the golden hued lighting to the rustic wood floors and paneling, nearby family conversations, and plethora of pictures on the wall, this place gives you a home grown feeling from the moment you walk through the door. The waitresses/waiters are prompt, attentive, and friendly which leaves you feeling like you're one of the family. I ordered the "Best Steak in Town" - a nearly one pound cut of top sirloin served with pasta or a baked potato and soup or salad. My boyfriend ordered the special of the evening - another nearly one pound cut of steak (this time a rib eye) that comes with three shrimp scampi on the side. Mine was medium and his was medium rare. Both of us asked for the salad and baked potato. The salads are pretty basic - iceberg salad mix with garbanzo beans, kidney beans, beets, and croutons. The baked potato was perfectly cooked - soft but not bordering on mashed potatoes. Both steaks were cooked exactly to the requested level of pink and well seasoned. For some diners the steak might be a little salty, but I found it wonderfully flavorful with just the right amount of char. As for the scampi: my boyfriend will normally only eat bay shrimp because he feels larger shrimp are too tough. To my surprise, he LOVED the shrimp scampi. I tried one of them, and it was incredibly tender. The sauce was creamier than a traditional scampi sauce, but it was still tasty. At the last minute (after I had boxed up half of my dinner), I decided to top off my meal with a piece of peach crumble pie. Although it arrived appearing a bit deflated, I found the crumble delightfully crunchy and the crust melt in your mouth buttery. The peaches took me back to the days of grandma's peach cobbler painstakingly prepared with juicy, ripe peaches from her very own tree. I will definitely be ordering everything exactly the same next time. It was all so delicious! Be prepared to pay for what you get. Our bill - which included two fountain drinks - came to 84.65. Keep in mind that there are plenty of lower priced items on the menu than the $33 & $34 steaks that we ordered, but in my mind the stalls are the best thing here.

Always great food and very friendly staff. The steaks, pesto and ribs are the best in the county! Matt is probably the best bartender ever!
