I have been a customer for quite a few years now and whenever people come to visit or ask for a recommendation I always suggested Seoul BBQ since they have a large menu and offer a variety of side dishes. However, the service has gotten a bit iffy over the past few years. The food is pretty good, but you have to go during the off hours to get better service. I have noticed, though, that I receive much better service when I visit with non-Asian friends. The staff is more willing to offer refills on side dishes and they stop by more frequently to ask if we need anything. The last time I went, I was with a group of 6 other people (all Asian). While waiting for our food we started to munch on the side dishes. We asked for refills on a few of the side dishes and when the server brought them she mentioned that she may not be able to give us more because the kitchen will complain... it was one refill for 3-4 side dishes. The time before that, I went with a non-Asian friend for dinner. The server (the same lady) was much more willing to bring refills and instead of the usual amount, the side dishes were in a much larger portion (for just two people). Just grabbed a to-go order today; I think that’s the best option and, so far, I have not come across any issues.

TONS OF FOOD. I went in thinking it wasn't going to be a small amount of food but man was I wrong. All the side dishes were delicious and authentic! The main part of the meals were a ton of food and delicious. When it says "serves two" it's really for 3 20 year old guys. The service was great and the staff was very helpful when we didn't know how to eat the food.

My family and I have been going to this restaurant for YEARS and have brought so many friends and other family members to them. Whenever someone is in town or looking for a restaurant recommendation, we always sent them to Seoul BBQ. After all, my dad being a businessman himself understands the importance of recommendations and word-of-mouth reviews. But unfortunately, we won't be patrons anymore, nor will we be recommending this restaurant to others. About 2 weeks ago, we made a reservation for 6 people in one of their private rooms. They have these private spaces with a door and everything if you want a more intimate setting for dinner. This was in celebration of my dad's 60th birthday (a big deal in Korean families). The reservation was set for the evening of March 17. A mere 5 hours before our reserved dinner time, we received a call from the restaurant saying that they were going to be giving our reserved room to a bigger party (a party of 10). They did not even offer us an alternate room, reservation, or even a table in the more public setting. It wasn't even like they were calling to ask if that would be okay....they simply called to inform us they were picking this larger party over ours. Honestly, what's the point of even making a reservation?? This is not how you conduct a business and it's hard not to see this as an attempt to make more money (which is ludicrous considering they don't know how much money we might have spent there). We will no longer be going to Seoul BBQ.

Wow!!!!! Go in hungry!!! I had never been to a Korean BBQ so I had no clue what to expect. We got a combo meal and there was not a free spot on the table. The food kept coming. The meat was cooked right at the table and everything was unbelievably flavorful!! Such a great experience!!!

This place used to be our go to place after a long trip. But our recent visits made us start looking for a replacement. There are not enough waitstaff and getting their attention isn't easy. I'm not sure if they changed their chef. The organ soup I really liked smelled funky, the kimchi tasted different and the fish was very bitter. When we told the staff that the food tasted odd, he tried to pass it off as "it's supposed to be like that".
