Great food and excellent service. Order anything appealing and you will like it. Try the sushi, order the sesame chicken, eat the dumplings and crab wontons. All of it is delicious! The shrimp in the dishes are large and tasty. Golden Shanghai has a full bar so you can order a glass of wine, your favorite cocktail, or some sake (hot or cold).

Golden Shanghai has been around a very long time. When I lived in the neighborhood I went on a regular basis. I don't consume a lot of Asian food but they are the best. Their consistency remains over the years.(I'm speaking a minimum of 10 yrs) Our church singles group ate there often. They carry Japanese, Vietnam, Chinese, and other Asian country foods. I had the shrimp sticks this time. Breading light and crispy. Fried rice with my breaded shrimp entree and vegetables. Everything was tasty, good appearance, and good eye appeal. (You know we eat with our eyes). I did not order a beverage. They do serve hard liquor. The place is clean and cozy. Nice peaceful atmosphere.

One of the more authentic Chinese restaurants in an area I didn't expect! I'm pretty sure their dishes are inspired by the northern regions of China - I could be wrong but it's at least authentic. They also serve the typical sesame chicken and orange chicken but I recommend going with someone who understands what to order in a Chinese restaurant if you're looking to expand your palette.

Few extra options than most typical Chinese resturants. Their lamb and spicy chicken were great. We had a big group and a couple of us ordered their spicy chicken. Everyone tested and liked it so much we ended up ordering 4 or 5 plates.

This place is awful. If you are any variety of skin ton that isn't pure lily white you will assuredly received bad service here. Doubly bad if you roll up with a man in a turban. I know. Trying times.
