My family and I were regulars at Cracker Barrel until our last visit when a family came in with their pet. The dog was placed in a chair and sat at the table with access to everything on it. My understanding was that even service dogs remain on the floor. We spoke to the person at the register who informed us that the business needed to post a letter to prevent this but such a letter had not been posted. I know many people consider their pets to be a part of their family. I prefer not to dine at a table where a dog last dined.

The food was JUST OK... NOT great! And it was very very busy. The servers and host seemed very stressed out... not happy that is! And unfortunately, the paying customers are the ones who have to interact with them! However, if the food actually tasted better and provided more consistency along with being priced fairly....I would willingly fight the crowds and deal with grumpy servers! But alas... it instead has become a costly unpleasant eating out experience! I will however give credit when it is due...The Sunday fried chicken meal is excellent and worth every penny...every time! :)

Food was excellent as always. From the time I ordered to the time I got my food, no kidding it wasn't any longer than 3 mins. And it was hot. Love to eat there. Love the store.

What I like about Cracker Barrel is the dependability of the meal I get. I have been there in many different states and they are 95 percent the same. I get green beans, corn bread muffins, grilled chicken tenderloins, and the potato casserole. It is always good, the service is reasonably fast, and it appeals to my Missouri country cooking heart. Yum!

We stopped in for breakfast this morning, there was no wait and we were quickly seated. At first the experience was pleasant, and then after we ordered our food we proceeded to wait for 40 minutes before our food came. Once our food arrived the food was very cold and my wife had a large black hair wrapped around her potato casserole. My wife and I instantly lost our appetatite and asked that her food not be remade. We asked to speak to the manager. The interaction with the manager was very poor and she has zero customer service skills. She explained to us that she would take our meals off, but would still charge for the late cold food for our kids. The check still came out to 39.00 dollars for the poor service and ice cold food. We never had issues here before and we eat here at least 2 times a month, spending at least 50 dollars each visit. Sadly, after this visit we will not be back and I will spread the word about this visit. The manager needs to attend classes in business and customer service.
