Absolutely positively great food, great ambiance. From the appetizer to the dessert simply outstanding. Our server Dara is like an angel from heaven! Ask for her! Definitely top 5 restaurant in Tampa.

We were disappointed that 717 South would not honor our Groupon and a gift certificate purchased directly from the restaurant. We had to choose which to redeem. It is our understanding that gift certificate purchased directly from the restaurant should be treated as cash when redeemed. It was not a discount, but rather prepayment toward future dining. We brought a group of friends out for dinner on 3/12/18. We have dined at 717 numerous times and always recommend it to our out of town guests. Food and service are always great, but this visit left us with a bad taste in our mouths.....

Good food. Great service. Parking was a pain but worth it to go here.

Arrived for a special event being held there. Although hostess was pre-occupied in casual.conversation with another 717 employee, she was polite and friendly once I got her attention. The bar staff was excellent and on point, one bar tender remembering my companion ny name from a previous first time visit, and another actually sent my Calamari appetizer for me before it was even served because she could tell it was over cooked by its dark color, saving me the trouble. Drinks were competitively priced, menu offered a nice selection without having too many selections. Environment was very nice and upscale. I will be back to visit again and would certainly recommend 717 to others.

The crab's bisque was amazing and is probably one of the best I had in my life. The Risotto was also amazing. We had a very good evening.
