This place is on the west side of town. The atmosphere, the hospitality & most of all the delicious "authentic" Mexican food is perfect. The inside is nicely decorated with Aztec masks and nice canvas art. The hostess was gracious and helpful, always checking up on us but not too often, just enough to make the dinner comfortable. Even the chef gave us some ideas to set up a kids plate for my son. They are very humble, yet their presentation displayed a solid sofistication I'd like to see more of in our local Latino restaurants. I will definitely visit them again.

The food is authentic and exquisitely prepared. The menu changes every three months. The host is extremely nice and knowledgeable about the cuisine they serve. The menu has food for vegetarians and carnivores. They were very accommodating to our needs and request. The place is small but homey. The food is worth the price.

I went to sol de mexico last satirday for dinner with my wife ....queso fundido was amazing and i asked the server to add mushrooms on it and it was the idea ever!!...i order puerco en salsa pasilla and verdolagas ...it only lik4 pieces of verdolagas on it and the meat was dry..my wife ordered the chiles rellenos with shrimo and cheese and it was not very flavorfull for the price ...it is sad to see the place empty on a saturday night but i thinl is because is way to expensive for mexican foos serced in a nice plates...never again!

Utterly disappointing. Made a reservation at Sol De Mexico for lunch, right when they open, a week prior. Day before our reservation, we get a text message confirming our reservation- I confirm. We drove 1 hour to come to this restaurant and we arrive and the lights are off and only a few people are in the very back. I knock on the door, they look over and ignore us. I call, and someone finally comes to the door. She could not speak English, but it was clear we had to be sent away. Unprofessional and disappointing. I cannot believe this place is endorsed by Michelin.
