This place is amazing! I am from Minnesota but was traveling down to Louisiana for a trip. This place is an amazing American style restaurant. The breakfast my boyfriend and I had was so fresh and delicious compared to the frozen stuff they “cook” up in Minnesota. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone needing a good meal! Seats are ripped and place is a little run down but I think that builds to the atmosphere on home cooked good food!

I purchased the All American Burger and my little 7year old nephew had the Slider plate. When the food arrived after waiting 30 minutes he had the same amount of fries as my $10. plate had. When asking the waitress if I could have more then 5 fries. She said they are weighed and if you order more you will be charged and she walked away. Never asked me if I still wanted. Later my two nephews wanted more drink she asked what we're they drinking one answered sweet tea. Before I could answer for the other who is 4 that he had lemonade she walked away. So when she returned she started pouring tea in his glass so I stopped her. She took his glass and walked away. When she returned after 10 mintues she threw the cup on the table. Maybe the burger was good but the service was a disaster.

We love having breakfast at Shoney's before going to church on Sundays. The breakfast bar is hot and fresh. We love their coffee as well.

I absoutely love the breakfast buffet. But my waitress, Belinda, she was amazing & down to earth. I love how she was on top of her game for as refills.
