First impressions are everything. I am a huge foodie. I frequent many restaurants from casual to high end. My first experience at Citron was not one to write home about. I expected so much more from a restaurant of this caliber. In my opinion, the food nor service were worth the cost.

Having lived in Europe and New York I admit to being picky about restaurants. What a pleasant surprise to have dinner at Citron, my new favorite restaurant in Baltimore. My husband and I enjoyed a superb meal of “contemporary Caesar salad”, handmade gnocchi, and the best escalope of veal we have ever eaten, in the U.S. or Europe. The lemon tart for dessert was dense and flavorful; apparently they have an in house pastry chef. Presentation of all the above was simply beautiful. The restaurant is elegant and welcoming, with attention to detail that includes one arrangement after another of beautifully artistic flowers, super comfortable seating, quality table cloths and even high quality weighted water glasses. The wine and cocktail lists were definitely the best I have seen. And the service, particularly by Shaun, was simply perfect. All in all, we never expected such an all around quality experience. If you are tired of the same old restaurant experience, treat yourself, as we did, to perfection.

This is one of the more upscale restaurants in the area. They do have outdoor seating in warm weather with views of the lake. The menu is good, with some unique takes on traditional dishes and other more standard items for the less adventurous. The staff are very friendly and have some pretty impressive attention to detail. They also do a brunch here and there's ample parking a short walk away, or you can use their valet and have them park you car for you instead of walking the 50 yards.

The owner is very pleasant and ensures his guests are taken care of. The food is amazing and the view is something to look forward to for the spring/summer. The happy hour on Thursdays includes a live band. They're talented and not too loud where you can't enjoy regular conversation. Must visit and experience this beautiful venue with the best customer service.

Great restaurant! We really enjoyed spending our Saturday evening here. The food is great and the service is amazing. We loved it so much that we are planing to come back here next week. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.
